This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our website (blkbook.me) and our service ("Blackbook" or "the Service").

Blackbook is operated by Alba Creative Sagl, registered in Switzerland.

  • Custom subdomain preference

  • Social media links

  • Contact information (phone, email, website)

Network Data (The Vault):

  • Contact details of people you save (names, roles, companies, locations, contact info)

  • Notes (text and voice transcripts)

  • Tags and categories you create

  • Meeting context (dates, locations, events)

Payment Information:

  • Billing name and address

  • Payment method details (processed securely by Stripe—we do not store full credit card numbers)

Communications:

  • Emails you send us

  • Support requests

  • Feedback and survey responses

2.2 Information We Collect Automatically

Usage Data:

  • Pages visited

  • Features used

  • Time spent on the platform

4.1 We Do NOT Sell Your Data

We will never sell your personal information to third parties.

4.4 Business Transfers

If Blackbook is acquired or merged with another company, your data may be transferred to the new owner. We will notify you before this happens.

5. Your Digital Profile (Public Information)

What's Public: When you create a Blackbook profile, certain information is publicly accessible via your custom URL (e.g., blkbook.me/yourname):

  • Your name

  • Profile photo

  • Role/headline

  • Bio

  • Portfolio images/videos

  • Contact information you choose to display

  • Social media links

What's Private: Your Vault (saved contacts, notes, tags, voice transcripts) is completely private. No one can see who you've saved or what notes you've added—not even other Blackbook members.

Controlling Your Profile: You can edit or delete your public profile anytime in Settings.

6. Data Retention

Active Accounts: We retain your data as long as your account is active.

After Account Deletion:

  • Your public profile is removed immediately

  • Your private Vault data is deleted within 30 days

  • Backups may retain data for up to 90 days for disaster recovery

  • Some data may be retained longer if required by law (e.g., payment records for tax purposes)

Inactive Accounts: If you don't use Blackbook for 3 years, we may delete your account and data after notifying you.

7. Your Rights (GDPR & Privacy Rights)

If you're in the EU/EEA, Switzerland, California, or other jurisdictions with privacy laws, you have the following rights:

7.1 Access

Request a copy of all data we have about you.

7.2 Correction

Update or correct inaccurate information.

7.3 Deletion

Request deletion of your account and all associated data.

7.4 Export (Data Portability)

Download your data in a standard format (CSV or JSON).
